The Moldovan authorities have recently revised the Law on Public Water Supply and Sewerage Service No. 303/2013, which governs public water supply and sewerage services.
These revisions introduce new requirements for market participants seeking a license to operate.
Additionally, the changes mandate that all tariffs for public water supply and sewerage services will now be approved exclusively by ANRE, rather than by local public authorities as was previously the case.
The amendments to Law No. 303/2013 also aim to promote the regionalization of public water supply and sewerage services.
ANRE collaborated with the Government and other authorities to establish the necessary provisions for these amendments, which will take effect on January 13, 2025.
