In 2022, the Flemish drinking water companies will submit a tariff plan to substantiate their drinking water tariffs for the next 6 years to the Flanders WaterRegulator.

In preparation for the new plans, the WaterRegulator prepared new policy frameworks to encourage water companies to define long-term and operational objectives, associated investments and with guidelines for compensation for additional performances within the drinking water activity. After consideration of the customers’ comments in the mandatory consultation, the plans will be submitted to the WaterRegulator in the summer of 2022. In the 4th quarter of 2022, there will be further communication about the final assessments and the decided tariff path of each water company.
