WAREG, the association of European Water Regulators, is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its network. The Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic and the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Waste and Water (RAEWW) of Greece have joined WAREG, marking a significant expansion of our collaborative efforts in water regulation.

During the 30th General Assembly, held on December 5, 2023, in Brussels, the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic was officially welcomed as a full member, while RAEWW was inducted as an observer. This expansion reflects WAREG’s commitment to fostering cooperation and knowledge exchange among water regulators across Europe.

The Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic brings extensive experience in environmental protection and water management, enhancing the collective expertise of WAREG members. Meanwhile, RAEWW’s observer status paves the way for deeper engagement with the Greek water regulatory framework, enriching our understanding of diverse regulatory environments.

These new partnerships are expected to bolster WAREG’s ability to address the complex challenges facing water regulation in Europe, promoting sustainable and efficient water management for all.
