Message from the Chairman of REGAGEN Montenegro on the Balkans Memorandum of Cooperation signed on the 18th of May in Tirana, Albania.

Dear Ms Muçaj, Mr Shani, representatives of WAREG, colleagues from North Macedonia and Kosovo Regulators, and other colleagues.

The reason for our gathering today is an attempt to help our 4 agencies that have the same or similar competencies, problems and dilemmas, so to help each other by sharing experiences in our functioning.

I hope that in the coming period we will be able to take advantage of the synergy effect and thus act as an association in cooperation with EU Partners. That should be an opportunity we should not miss.

A second advantage of this Memorandum of Cooperation is sharing experiences. But sharing experiences from my perspective, in this case, does not mean, shoving each other our muscles, this is useless, on the contrary, better to show each other our weaknesses and be very open in our discussions. I assure you that you will have a reliable partner in the Montenegrin Agency.

Branislav Prelević, Chairman of REGAGEN Montenegro

My special thanks to the host, the Albanian regulator for the initiative to hold this meeting as well as to the Albanian government and WAREG for supporting us in this initiative.
